Maternity leave

I’m heading off for maternity leave but I’ll be right back, baby!

It’s time for me to take a break to have my first baby.

Before I log off, I just wanted to thank the fantastic clients I’ve worked with this year. Together, we’ve created some really exciting projects and got to the bottom of their strategic communications goals. It’s been a pleasure to work with some of best creative, academic and business minds in the North East.

The portfolio of projects I’ve worked on in my first six months as a freelancer has been extraordinary. I’ve delivered lectures to first-year Fashion Communications and MA Public Relations students, hosted my first webinar, launched my Luxe magazine book column and written a variety of award entries spanning a huge range of sectors.

I also successfully completed my CIPR Professional Diploma and became a CIM Chartered Marketer – two things that have been on my personal development plan for a while.

I’m so grateful for the advice and support I received from fellow freelancers and small business owners which helped me navigate my way through setting up a business in the early days. Thank you.

I’ll be back in January 2021 but I’ll be out and about at networking events before then. Come and say hello so I can talk to an adult.

Once I’ve surfaced from the newborn baby fog, I’ll be back on social media checking out all of the latest innovations and exciting developments in communications, marketing and copywriting. Please share the great stuff you’re doing so I can admire from afar.

I don’t know what kind of world we’ll be living in by January or what business opportunities there will be after Coronavirus. My best wishes go to everyone who is trying to keep a business afloat right now. You’ve got this!

So, thanks again, stay safe and I’ll see you on the other side.

Dawn 🙂
